Idaho Sired Program Update:

Due to legality concerns of the Idaho Sired Program, the Board of Directors voted to discontinue offering nominations into Idaho Thoroughbred Association sponsored races to Idaho Sired horses in a special meeting held in December,2013.  Most of the ITA monies come from state coffers set aside for Idaho bred horses, and the State Statute is very clear on the point of using these funds to promote Idaho bred horses.  Any Idaho sired foals that were nominated in 2012 or 2013 will be grandfathered into the program and will remain eligible for all ITA sponsored races.  If you have a 2012 or 2013 Idaho sired foal, you had until February 28, 2014 to make your nomination payment in the Idaho Cup Program.  No late payment will be accepted for Idaho sired horses after February 28,2014.

Any foal dropped in 2014 will need to be Idaho bred in order to participate in the Idaho Thoroughbred Association sponsored races.
